Credit cards and e-transactions outside Scandinavia

In connection with credit card transactions from banks outside Scandinavia, Acubiz does not integrate directly with the individual banks. Instead, Acubiz receives data files centrally from the card network.

This applies to credit cards from Mastercard, VISA and American Express, where each network has an international standard solution for data delivery to ERP and EMS. This means that all banks that support these standards will be able to send credit card data to your Acubiz solution. There is no exhaustive list, so it is recommended to contact the bank to find out what they offer.

Regardless of the card type, as a customer, you must request the delivery of data from the bank or card issuer.

In addition to the above credit cards, Eurocard can provide credit cards in different currencies and thus the possibility of being used in companies outside Scandinavia.

This applies to Eurocard, Nordea Firstcard and Danske Bank Mastercard, among others and Acubiz recommends contacting the bank for options.

 

Mastercard procedure

The customer must contact the bank directly to request the setup of Mastercard Smart Data file transfer for their credit card. Acubiz is registered as a "Supplier" in the Mastercard International Smart Data System. This means that a bank can select Acubiz EMS as the "Application Name" in their access to the Smart Data system.

  • Mastercard Smart Data file transfer (CDF3 files).

Through Mastercard Smart Data, we can deliver transactions for all connected banks world wide. Exceptions are Citi Bank, BMO Financial Group and AirPlus. These banks do not run via Smart Data, but from their own systems. However, they use the same CDF3 file format.

Details for a new Mastercard Smart Data file feed setup:

  • Vendor name: Acubiz
  • Application is Hosted.
  • Defined Endpoint: E0091464
  • Version of the CDF3 file: 1701
  • Frequency of file: On Receipt
  • Filtering or masking needed: Mask digits 7-12 of account number, showing first 6 and last 4
  • Record Selection module: Include Financial Data Merchant transactions with Addenda and Adjustments.
  • Custom File Name (Y/N) If yes please provide example: No
  • Is server Windows OS (Y/N): No
  • Encoding: UTF-8
  • Starter File Needed (Y/N): No

 

VISA procedure

The customer must request the bank to establish Visa VCF4 file delivery for their credit card.

Specifications:

  • File Format: VCF 4.0 Fixed Length
  • Frequency: Daily.

Banks often use a standard PDF form for ordering, where technical details regarding the actual delivery to Acubiz must also be entered. Your consultant at Acubiz will be available to assist with this.
