Make optimal receipt match on your credit card transactions

Acubiz recommends that you take a photo of your receipt(s) as soon as you receive it. There are several reasons for this:

1. You don't have to save your receipts for a shorter or longer period of time
2. The Acubiz match routine will be more accurate
3. You will get a better overview

Credit card transactions arrive in Acubiz 1-2 days AFTER the actual purchase, so the receipts you submit are waiting for the transaction to arrive - and only then the match happens. When the match is done, transaction + receipt is sent for approval.

1. Amount is matched at +/-1% and on date (closest) within +/- 5 days (from the date of purchase) as well as match on currency (if no currency on e-trans then only amount and date are matched).

* Currency is stated on transactions from the majority of credit card companies.

Recommended method

When you take a picture of your receipts immediately, Acubiz's match criteria will be more accurate and will therefore give you a better overview.

Not recommended method

On the other hand, if you take pictures of your receipts once a week / month, situations can easily arise where incorrect matches between receipts and transactions can occur if there are many transactions at the end of the week/month.

So the best advice from The Acubiz Way is - take photos right away and forget about it again.
