If your company uses the FTP protocol (port 21), we recommend that you make a switch to the more secure and encrypted connection protocol SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol - port 22).
The examples shown are for the client software FileZilla and the Acubiz server (host) apps7.acubizems.com, but the client software and the exact server name for your Acubiz access may be different. But the principles are the same.
How to make the change in, for example, FileZilla:
The change consists of two elements
- Change protocol to SFTP
- Accept the server's Host key
Change protocol:
In the protocol field, change from FTP - File Transfer Protocol to SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol
Accept server host key
The first time you access an SFTP server after this change, you must accept the server's hostkey before you can connect. The screen for this looks different depending on which SFTP client (software) you are using.
For the Filezilla client software, it might look like this:
After this change, your connection to Acubiz will be encrypted via the SFTP protocol.
