Setting up the American Express (Amex) credit card feed in Acubiz
American Express is a leading credit card issuer offering premium credit cards focused on travel rewards, exclusive benefits, and service offers for their members.
⚠️ Important before you start
American Express supports only automatic transaction feeds on Corporate Card accounts.
- Business Accounts (smaller companies): If you have a "Business Account" (typically smaller companies with few cards), you do not have a Control Account number, and Amex therefore cannot provide electronic transaction files to Acubiz.
- Action: You need to clarify your account type with Amex before starting the application process below.
1. GDTF application form
You must complete sections 1, 2, and 3:
- Section 1: Provide your Amex Master Control Account or Basic Control Account number. This is an internal reference account number required in the application. Contact Amex Support if you do not have the number.
- Section 2: Acubiz's name and address are pre-filled. You only need to fill in the "Country List" with the relevant country codes for the countries where the cards are issued.
- Signature and submission: The application and the applicable terms (Terms & Conditions on the last page) must be printed, signed, and scanned together as one combined PDF file. (Amex often rejects the application if the pages are submitted separately).
2. Feed Implementation Form (Word document)
- Complete only Sections A and D.
- Other sections must not be changed.
Submission and activation
- Send both the GDTF form and Feed Implementation Form to Amex at: electronictransmissionsteam@aexp.com
- When Amex has confirmed the setup, you must forward the file name and account number to Acubiz at: onboarding@acubiz.com
