The Data Act in Acubiz
The EU Data Act (Regulation (EU) 2023/2854, also known as the Data Act) supports customers' right to access their data and transfer it to another provider or to their own systems. The rules apply from September 12, 2025, and include Acubiz.
As a customer, you can request to have your data provided or exported from Acubiz — either for continued use in your own systems or for transitioning to another provider, archiving, or documentation.
Termination procedure under the Data Act
Your rights as a customer
When you want to terminate your agreement under the Data Act and thereby end your use of Acubiz, you can choose between:
- Switching to another provider of a similar service.
- Transferring your data to your own systems.
- Having your data deleted without transferring it.
If you choose option 1 or 2, your data will be exported before your access ends. Regardless of what you choose, Acubiz will delete your data when we are no longer required to retain it.
Please note that you are responsible for meeting your company's own retention obligations, including retaining expense receipts and accounting records in accordance with the Danish Bookkeeping Act. Therefore, make sure to download and archive the necessary data before your access ends.
The three phases of the transition process
- Notice period. You notify Acubiz in writing that you wish to transfer or have your data deleted. The notification must be provided in the manner specified in your agreement with Acubiz, and it must state that the termination is pursuant to the Data Act. Notice periods and conditions are set out in your agreement and Acubiz's General Terms and Conditions.
- Transition period. The transition itself is carried out. You export your data using the tools provided by Acubiz, and Acubiz provides reasonable assistance. The solution operates normally during this period.
- Data extraction period. You continue to have access to download your data after the transition has been completed. When the period ends, your access to Acubiz will end.
Export methods and formats
Acubiz offers several ways to export data. You perform some exports yourself in the solution, while others are carried out by Acubiz. The data covered by each method, the applicable prerequisites, and how the export is ordered or carried out are described in the relevant guide.

Data is provided in commonly used, machine-readable formats.
- Online register of data structures and formats. Detailed descriptions of data structures, field contents, file formats, and sample files for all export types are available in the Integrations and technical information category. The category is continuously maintained.
- Data excluded from export: Data that is not classified as ‘Exportable data’ is excluded from transfer. This means that operational data essential to functionality and security, including system, audit, and access logs as well as system setup and configuration, is not included in the export.
