Acubiz advises that you capture a photograph of your receipts immediately upon receiving them. There are several compelling reasons for this recommendation:
- You will not be required to retain your receipts for an extended or shortened duration.
- The Acubiz matching process will yield greater accuracy.
- You will achieve a more comprehensive overview.
Credit card transactions are recorded in Acubiz 1-2 days after the actual purchase; therefore, the receipts you submit will await the transaction's arrival, at which point the matching process occurs. Upon completion of the match, the transaction and receipt will be forwarded for approval.
Example of a receipt for a pending transaction:
Acubiz matches receipts with transactions these criterias
-
Amount is matched at +/-1% and on date (closest) within +/- 5 days (from the date of purchase), as well as match on currency (if no currency on e-trans then only amount and date are matched).
* Currency is stated on transactions from the majority of credit card companies.
Recommended Method
By capturing images of your receipts promptly, Acubiz's matching criteria will exhibit greater accuracy, thereby providing you with an enhanced overview.
Not Recommended Method
Conversely, if you capture images of your receipts on a weekly or monthly basis, there is a possibility of encountering discrepancies between receipts and transactions, particularly when numerous transactions occur at the conclusion of the week or month.
Therefore, the most prudent advice derived from The Acubiz Way is to capture photographs immediately and subsequently set the matter aside.
