If a credit card transaction has been linked to the wrong user, there are three steps you can take to fix this.
- Delete the incorrect match
- Move credit card transactions that were matched incorrectly
- Create a new match

Delete the Incorrect Match
To avoid further incorrect matches, it's important to remove the wrong match.
Go to ADMIN => USERS and find the user linked to the incorrect match.
You can find the match on the user's profile under Automatic e-transaction associations created on user. This section shows all matches related to that user.
Click on the type and choose delete in the next screen.
The match has now been deleted.
Move Credit Card Transactions that Were Matched Incorrectly
Transactions assigned to the wrong user should be moved to the correct one. For help with this, please see the guide Move individual credit card transactions to another employee.
Create a New Match
After deleting the incorrect match, future credit card transactions will show as UNLINKED and will need to be matched again. For instructions, please check this guide to create a permanent automatic match between transactions and users.
