To get started with the CO2 Tracker, you'll need to set it up with the following:
Registration Method
There are three registration methods available:
Distance
The 'Distance' registration method is used when calculating transport costs based on the distance traveled by the user. For each cost (like taxi, train, bus, or flight), the user needs to provide two details:
- Transport type
- Distance
Here's an example of how to set up a 'Taxi account':
Example of input in the Acubiz App.
Quantity
The 'Quantity' registration method is used for costs where the user has purchased a quantity that can contribute to CO2 registration. This might include fuel or charging an electric vehicle. The user needs to specify two things for the cost:
- Transport type
- Quantity
Here's an example of setting up the cost type 'Fuel':
Example of use in the Acubiz app.
Route
|
Alternative to route registration: Route registration requires creating a list of travel points in Acubiz, typically airports. To simplify this, you can use the "distance" model for recording CO2 for flight expenses instead. |
The route registration method is generally used only for flight expenses. In Acubiz, a list of airports is uploaded (Acubiz can provide a standard list), and the user selects the airports for the start, intermediate, and final destinations of their flight. This allows the distance traveled to be calculated based on the user's selections.
Example of setting up the 'Flight' cost type, where the user selects a route based on airport choices (files for potential import are attached). Airports can also be added manually through the administration module under the Airports dimension.
Transport Types
Here are the transport types available in Acubiz. Each transport type can be specified to determine its relevance for the individual cost type.
- Car - Petrol/Diesel
- Car - Electric car
- Car - Hybrid
- Airplane
- Hardware - Used
- Hardware - New
- Helicopter
- Motorcycle - Petrol/Diesel
- Motorcycle - Electric
- Public transport - Bus
- Public transport - Train
- Taxi - Petrol/Diesel
- Taxi - Electric
It's up to the company's Acubiz Pro-User (What is a Pro-User?) to choose the transport types that make the most sense for the registration method and cost type.
