To activate the CO2 Tracker on a cost type, a registration method must be defined and linked to the relevant transport types. The setup is managed by the company's Acubiz Pro-User.
1. Registration Methods
There are three different registration methods to choose from depending on the cost type.
Distance
Used for transportation costs where the CO2 footprint is based on the distance traveled (e.g., taxi, train, or bus).
User input in the app: The user must select Transport type and enter Distance (number of km).
Example of setup (Taxi):
Example of display in Acubiz App:
Quantity
Used for costs where the CO2 footprint is based on the consumed quantity (e.g., fuel or electric charging).
User input in the app: The user must select Transport type and enter Quantity (e.g., number of liters or kWh).
Example of setup (Fuel):
Example of display in Acubiz App:
Route
Primarily used for air travel. This method is based on a predefined list of locations (typically airports) in Acubiz, which is used to automatically calculate the distance traveled.
- User input in the app: The user selects start, intermediate, and end destinations from the list.
-
Administration and import: Airports can be entered manually via the administration module (under the Airports dimension) or uploaded via a file. Acubiz offers a standard list for this purpose.
- ℹ️ See the guide: Manual upload and import of files to Acubiz for instructions on importing airport files.
-
Example of setup (Flight):
💡 Alternative to route registration (Flight): To avoid the administrative task of maintaining a list of airports, it is advisable to use the Distance registration method for flight expenses instead.
