Split Cost by Dimension between Multiple Units

Cost splitting at the dimension level allows a transaction to be divided among multiple values within the same dimension, such as "project" or "department".

Department Dimension Split Example

This example illustrates splitting DKK 5,000 between two departments. The user is in the Sales department, while the IT Support department covers 60% (DKK 3,000) of the total cost.

To split, click on the filled department to view all departments. Currently, only the 'Sales Department' is selected.

Now click on the 'IT Support' department to select both departments.

Type of Split

With the departments selected, it's time to choose the distribution type. Here are the available options:

Up to 20 departments can be split per. expenditure

Evenly split

The standard split is "evenly" 50/50 split of the amount

Percentage Split

Select this option for an uneven percentage split between departments. Click the pen to adjust the percentage for each department.

The total percentage must equal 100%.

Amount Split

Select this option for uneven splits between departments by specific amounts. Click the pen to adjust the amount for each department.

Ensure the total split equals the total expense.

After entering the split correctly, click the back arrow

A dimension split has been made in the department and he expense can be finalized for settlement.
