Acubiz allows adding an additional approver to a user's profile. The feature can be set up in two different ways depending on your needs: Mandatory 2nd Approver or Alternative Approver.
Note: This feature is an add-on module that requires configuration by Acubiz. Contact Acubiz for more information about activation.
1. Mandatory 2nd Approver
In a standard setup in Acubiz, one approver is linked to each user profile.
With this feature, an additional mandatory approver can be added.
-
Approval flow: A linear flow is created where the transaction must be approved in two consecutive steps (1st approver - 2nd approver).
- Platform: Both approvers can process and approve settlements directly in the Acubiz app.
-
Power of Attorney & CPM:
- Activating a mandatory 2nd approver prevents stepwise approval based on power of attorney. See: Use of power of attorney amounts during approval
- The flow can be influenced by rules in the Company Policy Manager. See: CPM: Manager approval based on account rules.
2. Alternative Approver
The setup of an alternative approver is based on the same module as the 2nd approver but operates on a different principle in the approval flow.
-
Approval flow: The primary approver and the alternative approver are on the same level (parallel). The transaction is finally approved by whichever of the two approves first ("first-come, first-served"). Thus, it is not a requirement for two approvals but a flexible approval path.
-
Platform: The alternative approver can only approve via the web application (not via the Acubiz app).
