Please note that ordering a test environment is not part of the standard subscription/license agreement and will be billed separately. Typically, there are additional costs for:
- Setting up the test environment
- Ongoing costs for maintaining the test environment during the agreed period
You can also add extra options to the test environment agreement, such as:
- Assistance from an Acubiz consultant, billed hourly, which may include
- Meetings about setup changes
- Time spent on configurations
- Creating Acubiz test credit card transactions
- Additional products can be purchased as needed by agreement
- Consultant support for making changes in PROD after testing in the test environment

Once an agreement is in place, the test environment will be a copy of your current PROD environment with identical settings.
- The copy will NOT include transaction data
- If needed, you can purchase consultant time to create test credit card transactions.
This means the test environment will start without any transactions, and it's your responsibility to create test transactions to check export results. Test environments are often used when making setup changes in Acubiz that need to be tested before going live in PROD. Examples include:
- Switching to a new ERP/accounting system
- Moving to partial or full automation
- Changing the salary system
- Trying out new features
- Training purposes
- Dividing tasks
- Refreshing the PROD copy
Switching to a new ERP/Accounting System
This can involve significant changes to your Acubiz setup. Some tasks might include:
- New account numbers
- Updating cost types
- Updating credit card accounts (provision and monthly invoice)
- Updating employee postings (new creditor numbers, new interim accounts)
- New dimension structures (new levels or values)
- New export formats

Moving to Partial or Full Automation
Tasks could include:
- Automatic updating of user master data
- Automatic updating of dimension master data
- Automatic data exchange with the ERP system (via files or API)
Changing the Salary System
Examples of tasks:
- Changing employee numbers

- Changing wage type codes
Trying Out New Features
If you want to test new features without affecting PROD, a test environment is a good option.
Training Purposes
In larger organizations, a test environment can be used to train new users. While this isn't standard practice, it’s available if needed.
Dividing Tasks
It’s important to note that your company will handle the changes and testing. Access to the Acubiz test environment is granted to the same users as in PROD, with the same access rights. When the test environment is set up, you’ll be informed about access to:
- Included in the standard test environment:
- Web administration
- Acubiz app
- Available as additional purchases:
- MFT (SFTP)
- Acubiz API access
Refreshing the PROD Copy
Refreshing PROD data in the test environment isn’t included by default but can be purchased if needed. Pricing will depend on how many companies are included in your Acubiz solution and will be calculated individually.
